Rabies Confirmed in Raccoon on Mink Farm Road

Onancock, VA - A raccoon tested positive for rabies in the vicinity of Mink Farm Road in Onancock, Virginia, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Health officials have issued an alert regarding this incident.

Residents are advised to report any potential contact with this animal. The Accomack County Health Department is accepting information at 757-787-5886.

Reports may also be directed to Accomack County Animal Control if human or animal exposure is suspected.
