Registration Open for Little League Challenger Program

Wicomico County, MD - Wicomico Recreation & Parks is excited to announce the return of the Little League Challenger program this spring.

The Little League Challenger is an adaptive program that offers individuals with physical and intellectual challenges the opportunity to play baseball.

This program is open to players from Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset counties. Games are held at Field 7 ½ of the Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex, an adaptive field designed to enable individuals of all abilities to play together.

Flexibility and adaptability are crucial during Challenger games. Each game typically lasts about 45 minutes to an hour and consists of 1-2 innings. All players have the opportunity to bat and play in the field.

Registration is open now through March 8. The season will kick off with an opening day ceremony on Saturday, April 18.

The opening day festivities will include a player and buddy parade, a ceremonial first pitch, and the first games of the season.
