REPEAT OFFENDER ARRESTED FOR THEFT SCHEME AT TARGET

Stevensville, MD - Heather Tarr, 30, from Arnold, Maryland, has been arrested and charged in connection with a theft scheme at the Target store in Stevensville. The total value of the reported thefts exceeds $4,500.
On June 18, at approximately 3:48 p.m., Deputy Meehan responded to a report of theft at the Stevensville, Maryland, Target. Dispatch informed him that the suspect had left the store and was seated in a vehicle in the parking lot.
Upon arrival, Deputy Meehan identified a vehicle matching the description provided and found an individual inside who fit the witness descriptions. This person was later identified as Heather Tarr.
Deputy Meehan approached Tarr and informed her about the theft report involving someone who matched her description. Tarr requested if she could pay for the items, to which Deputy Meehan instructed her to place the items in a cart and return to the store.
Inside the store, Target Loss Prevention provided an update, confirming that all items had been accounted for. The total value of the items in question was approximately $504.
Further investigation revealed that an arrest warrant had been issued for Tarr two days earlier by the Office of the Sheriff. The warrant cited multiple thefts committed at the same Target location between May 16 and June 16, with a cumulative value of $4,558.01.
Tarr was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:
- Theft Scheme $1,500 to under $25,000
- Theft $100 to under $1,500 (6 counts)
For this incident, Tarr was held on a $3,000 bond.
