Residential Structure Fire Reported in Salisbury, Maryland Believed to be Incendiary

Salisbury, Maryland - On Sunday, August 10, 2025, at approximately 9:54 AM, a residential structure fire was reported in the 1100 block of Grant Avenue, Salisbury, located in Wicomico County, Maryland.  


The residential property was identified as a one-story, wood-framed, single-family dwelling. The Salisbury Fire Department promptly responded to the incident with a total of 20 firefighters deployed to the scene.


The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes, following the initial single alarm activation.  


The fire, discovered by the occupant, originated in the bedroom of the residence. Preliminary investigations indicate that the cause of the fire was incendiary in nature.


Smoke alarms in the home were present and activated, allowing the occupants to escape safely without injuries.  


The estimated financial loss due to the fire is $5,000 for the structure and $10,000 for its contents.  


This incident remains under investigation.
