This initiative aims to cultivate a love for sports and essential life skills like leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship among local young athletes.

Driving sports participation, community involvement, and youth development, RISE Flag Football goes beyond just a sports league. It provides an environment where budding athletes can understand the core aspects of flag football and develop crucial life traits. 

Thanks to the financial support from the State of Maryland's Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, the partnership will allow individuals to join the RISE Flag Football League at no cost or for a significantly lower fee.

The collaboration's main objective is to eliminate financial barriers to sports participation, creating an accessible and fair platform for individuals from all walks of life. Thanks to this joint effort, RISE Flag Football hopes to inspire local youth, encourage physical health, and strengthen community bonds.

"As we embark on this transformative journey with our valued partners, we are filled with joy and gratitude," expressed Steven Burke, the owner and operator of four Maryland leagues. "We share a common mission to make sports reachable to everyone and are thankful for the support from the State of Maryland's Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, The Salisbury Boys & Girls Club, PAL, and the Salisbury Police Department. Our collective effort intends to ensure that everyone in the Salisbury area can participate in our flag football league and reap the many rewards of sports engagement."

The collaboration symbolizes a cooperative effort among state and local organizations to use sports for positive community development. 

By pooling resources and expertise, the initiative aims to provide a supportive and enriching environment for individuals, particularly the youth, to get into sports, acquire valuable life skills, and foster a sense of belonging and teamwork.
