SALISBURY FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A REPORTED STORAGE BULDING FIRE AT THE TRAVELODGE

Wicomico County, MD - On May 20, 2025, at approximately 8:19 P.M., a fire broke out in a prefab storage building at the Travelodge Property, located in the 2600 block of North Salisbury Blvd in Salisbury, Maryland.
The Salisbury Fire Department responded, arriving at the scene with a total of 18 dedicated firefighters from their agency and assisting fire departments. They were able to bring the blaze under control in just 20 minutes.
Although the structure sustained damage, there were no reported injuries. However, the estimated financial loss is around $30,000 for the building and an additional $5,000 for its contents.
The fire has been classified as incendiary. Preliminary investigations indicate the involvement of two juveniles, who will soon be referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.
