SALISBURY FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO MONDAY NIGHT FIRE ON BUENA VISTA AVENUE

Salisbury, MD - A residential structure fire took place at a residence located in the 300 block of Buena Vista Ave in Salisbury, Maryland on June 2, 2025. The property, owned by the Wicomico County Housing Authority, is a wooden-framed single-family home.

The fire caused an estimated $250 in damage to the structure, with no loss of contents. Smoke alarms were present in the home however the fire started on the rear porch, so they were irrelevant. Preliminary investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the fire.

The Salisbury Fire Department was the primary responder, deploying 10 firefighters who quickly controlled the blaze within five minutes. The prompt action of a neighbor, who discovered the fire and alerted the occupants, played a crucial role in ensuring everyone's safety.
