SALISBURY POLICE ARREST SUSPECT IN SHOOTING THAT LEFT 14-YEAR OLD WITH LIFE THREATENING INJURIES

Wicomico County, MD - In light of a recent shooting on Prince St in Salisbury, Maryland, the Salisbury Police Department have announced the arrest of a suspect involved.


On May 8, 2025, shortly after midnight, the Salisbury City Police Department responded to Tidal Health Peninsula Regional to meet with a 14-year-old juvenile with gunshot wound to the neck.


They discovered through their investigation that the suspect and the victim were together in the 400 block of Prince Street, at which point a confrontation took place. Following the confrontation, the suspect discharged a firearm, striking the victim. The victim received life-threatening injuries but is now in stable condition. He was initially treated at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional and then transferred to Shock Trauma. 


Investigative efforts led to the identification of 22-year-old Dorrian Clayborne as the suspect. He was apprehended on May 13, 2025, by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, a collaborative unit involving multiple law enforcement agencies.


The suspect was arrested without incident and is now in custody at the Wicomico County Detention Center, being held on no bond.


Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the case and encourage the public to come forward with any relevant information.
