SALISBURY POLICE SENIOR CORPORAL RYAN MITCHELL PASSES AWAY UNEXPECTEDLY

Salisbury, MD - The Salisbury Police Department has announced the unexpected passing of Senior Corporal Ryan Mitchell, who died at his home earlier today, leaving both the department and the community in mourning.
S/Cpl. Mitchell began his career with the City of Salisbury in 1995. Over the years, he served in various roles within the department, demonstrating a strong commitment to public safety.
His assignments included positions in the Operations Division on Patrol, membership in the Tactical Unit, and service as a detective in both the Criminal Investigation Division and the Child Advocacy Center.
Most recently, S/Cpl. Mitchell served as a patrol supervisor, where he played an integral role in supervising and mentoring fellow officers.
The department described S/Cpl. Mitchell as a dedicated public servant who approached his work with integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment. He was also remembered as a cherished colleague and friend to his fellow officers.
His sense of humor, smile, wisdom, and culinary skills were qualities that his peers deeply appreciated and admired.
S/Cpl. Mitchell will be deeply missed by his fellow officers, friends, and the many others whose lives he touched throughout his career.
