SALISBURY SHED FIRE BELIEVED TO HAVE STARTED FROM A PILE OF BURNING TRASH

Wicomico County, MD - On June 6, 2025, a trash fire broke out in a vacant shed, located in the 27000 block of Pemberton Drive, in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland. The structure was a dilapidated shed, and was completely engulfed in flames upon firefighters arrival.


The Salisbury Fire Department responded quickly to the incident with a team of 15 firefighters. They brought the situation under control in just 15 minutes. The fire originated from a pile of trash, and preliminary investigations suggest it was intentionally set.


No arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The fire was discovered by a person present at the location at the time.


Authorities have advised residents to notify the county before undertaking any controlled burns in the future. This serves as a precautionary measure to prevent similar incidents and ensure community safety.
