Salisbury Zoo Announces Spring 2026 Community Events Schedule
Salisbury, MD - The Salisbury Zoo has announced its schedule for the Spring 2026 season. A series of community events will take place to support animal care, education programs, and conservation efforts.
These events are designed to engage families and raise funds for the Zoo's mission.
The season begins on Saturday, March 28, with the Easter Jeep Hop. This event runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is held in partnership with Delmarva Jeep Events. The schedule includes a Jeep decorating contest inside the Zoo, along with candy and prize giveaways.
Attendees can view ambassador animals and meet the Easter Bunny. A Jeep show-and-shine will feature food trucks, music, and raffles. Proceeds from the day will benefit the Salisbury Zoo. Registration is currently open for Jeep owners interested in participating.
The annual Earth Day celebration is scheduled for Saturday, April 18. This is a free event focused on environmental education and community engagement. It runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features educational booths, local vendors, and hands-on activities for children.
Presentations by local environmental groups will also take place. A Sensory-Friendly Hour will occur prior to the main event from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This hour is organized in partnership with the Salisbury University Psychology Department to offer a quieter experience for families with sensory sensitivities. KultureCity sensory resources will be available throughout the day.
The spring season concludes with the Zoo Stampede 5K on Saturday, May 2. The race begins at 9 a.m. at the Zoo's East Gate. The course travels through the Zoo grounds and Salisbury City Park.
The theme for this year highlights the monarch butterfly migration. Proceeds from the race will support the Salisbury Zoo and its conservation programs, specifically the Monarch SAFE program. Registration for the race is available online.
The Salisbury Zoo is currently seeking event sponsors and vendors for the Spring 2026 season. These opportunities allow local businesses and organizations to connect with the community.
Sponsorships support wildlife conservation and environmental education.
