SALISBURY, MD - The Salisbury Zoo will be temporarily closed to the public from Monday, October 13, through Wednesday, October 15, 2025, to complete a major resurfacing of its pathways.

The zoo is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, October 16, 2025. This project is part of the zoo's ongoing efforts to enhance guest experience and accessibility while working to regain accreditation through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).

The pathway resurfacing project is designed to create smoother, more durable walking surfaces throughout the grounds. These improvements aim to increase visitor safety and improve accessibility for all guests, including those with strollers, wheelchairs, or other mobility needs.

The planned work is dependent on weather conditions, and the dates may be adjusted if necessary. Visitors are encouraged to check the Salisbury Zoo's official social media channels or visit its website at salisburyzoo.org for the latest updates on the reopening schedule.
