Salisbury Zoo to Host Three Family-Friendly Halloween Events This October

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury Zoo will host family-friendly Halloween events this October, featuring candy trails and festive activities for the community to enjoy.

The Zoo's main event, Halloween Happening, is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, and Saturday, October 25, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This year's Presenting Sponsor is Monsters of Metal: Blizzard Bash & The Metal Shop. Tickets purchased online by October 13 will grant early access at noon. A family costume contest will take place at 3 p.m. on both dates.

For families with sensory sensitivities, the Zoo has partnered with the Salisbury University Psychology Department to host a sensory-friendly Spooktacular Halloween event. This event will be held on Friday, October 10, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Space is limited for this event.

"We are getting the whole Zoo decorated for Halloween, and we can't wait to welcome everyone," said Jamie Nichols, Development Supervisor. "Get your costumes ready and your tickets to enjoy these fun, family-friendly and non-scary experiences!"

This year's events will feature a new open layout, allowing guests to explore candy tables along the trails, enjoy activity areas, watch on-stage entertainment, and visit food vendors.

Ticket Information:

• Spooktacular Halloween: Tickets are $10 per participating child. Non-participating guests are admitted for free.

• Halloween Happening: Advance tickets are $10 per child if purchased by October 13. Tickets at the gate will be $15 per child. Adult admission is $2. Children under age 2 do not require a ticket unless they plan to participate in trick-or-treating.

Tickets can be purchased online atwww.salisburyzoo.org/events. The Zoo will be closed to the public on October 18 and 25 to prepare for these events.
