SALISBURY, MD - SBY Regional Airport is advising travelers to confirm their flight status with their respective airlines prior to arriving at the airport. This advisory follows recent flight reductions at major U.S. airports mandated by the Federal Government.

The nationwide reduction in flights has been implemented as a safety measure by the Administration during the current Federal Government shutdown. All three direct and connecting destinations from SBY Airport are included on the list of airports required to reduce air traffic.

Airport Director Tony Rudy advises travelers on the best way to stay informed. "Flight status is always subject to change," says Tony Rudy, Airport Director, "It's best to use your airline's smartphone app or website to obtain the most up-to-date flight information."

SBY Management also reminds passengers that airlines will continue to enforce strict cut-off times for baggage check-in and final boarding. To avoid travel disruptions, travelers should plan to arrive at the airport early.

A temporary website has been made available to check the status of commercial flights at Salisbury. This can be accessed at https://vp-lrnnmrvj.cms.mvix.com/playback.

For over 75 years, Salisbury Regional Airport has served Delmarva and the Eastern Shore, offering daily flights to connecting cities across the U.S. and worldwide. For more information, visit the airport's official website at www.flysbyairport.com.
