Salisbury, MD - Local law enforcement is reporting a successful operation on February 20, 2024, in the 800 Block of East Rd., Salisbury, Maryland. 

Detectives from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office Community Action Team and Criminal Investigation Division carried out the operation aimed at curbing illegal activities in the local area. The operation resulted in the arrest of one suspect and the seizure of multiple firearms.

The detectives found a .40 caliber rifle, a 9mm firearm, a .22 caliber firearm, and substantial amounts of ammunition and weapon magazines during the search. 

Additionally, they discovered a digital scale, cocaine, Fentanyl, and equipment related to drug distribution.

The target of the operation, and subsequently the search warrant, was identified as Deandre Tyre Ames (DOB: 10/08/1990), who was arrested at the scene. 

Ames was charged with several offenses, including intent to distribute narcotics, illegal possession of firearms, and related offenses. He is currently being held without bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center.
