SEARCH WARRANT RESULTS IN DRUG-RELATED ARREST IN LAUREL DELAWARE

Laurel, DE - The Laurel Police Department has increased its presence in the area of West 8th Street as part of an ongoing law enforcement operation. Today, a search warrant was executed at 611 West 8th Street, concluding a comprehensive investigation into suspected drug dealing in the neighborhood.

With assistance from the Delaware State Police, officers searched the residence and recovered items associated with drug use and distribution. Among the seized evidence were drug paraphernalia, as well as quantities of crack cocaine and crystal methamphetamine.

As a result of this operation, 48-year-old Ronnell D. Jacobs, a resident of Laurel, was arrested and charged with the following offenses:

- Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance (two counts, Class B Misdemeanor)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Not Related to Personal Use (two counts, Class B Misdemeanor)

Jacobs was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was subsequently released on his own recognizance.

Authorities emphasize that the issuance of an arrest warrant is based on probable cause established during the investigation and execution of the search warrant.

Jacobs, like all individuals charged with a crime, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
