Sewer Line Maintenance in Downtown Salisbury to be Completed This Weekend

SALISBURY, MD - The City of Salisbury's Department of Infrastructure and Development has issued a schedule update for the ongoing sewer line maintenance in the downtown area. The contractor will continue work on Saturday, September 13, 2025, to complete the project, which includes cleaning, inspection, and smoke testing of the sewer lines.
The remaining work will involve smoke testing across the entire project area. The streets affected include E. Market Street, W. Market Street, Poplar Hill Avenue, Baptist Street, and Calvert Street between Baptist Street and Poplar Hill Avenue.
Additionally, sewer cleaning and CCTV inspections will be conducted on Baptist Street, between E. Main Street and E. Market Street, and on Camden Street.
As with previous stages of the project, updated notification letters will be distributed to all affected businesses to keep them informed. The Salisbury Fire and Police departments will also be notified in advance of the work.
