Cambridge, MD - On February 19, 2024, local law enforcement officials took action against resident Andrew Rogers, stemming from a shoplifting incident that took place at a Walmart store last year.

Rogers, 73, a resident of Cambridge, was served a Criminal Summons by the Cambridge Police Department at around 2:10 PM. Following a thorough investigation, Rogers was charged with Burglary 4th Degree Theft, and Theft involving property valued between $100 and $1,500.

The charges originate from an incident on November 8, 2023, at a Walmart store in Cambridge.

Walmart Asset Protection Officers reportedly observed Rogers engaging in suspicious activities. Rogers was seen bagging items and bypassing all points of sale before exiting the store, all without making any payment for the merchandise.

Investigations revealed that the total value of the stolen merchandise amounted to $180.05. Consequently, Walmart Asset Protection Officers formally lodged charges against Rogers with the Court Commissioner, leading to the issuance of the Criminal Summons.
