Sinkhole Repair to Close Camden Avenue Tuesday

SALISBURY, MD - The Department of Waterworks Utilities Division will conduct sinkhole repairs on Camden Avenue this Tuesday, September 2.
The repair work will address a sinkhole located at 319 Camden Avenue. City officials have scheduled the maintenance to ensure public safety and protect utility infrastructure.
Camden Avenue will be completely closed to all traffic during the repair period. The closure extends from Riverside Drive/Carroll Street to Newton Street.
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the closed section during construction hours. Residents and businesses should plan alternate routes accordingly.
Repairs are scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. The timeline may extend if unforeseen circumstances arise during the repair process.
Street parking will be prohibited in the work zone throughout the repair period. Vehicles parked in the restricted area may be subject to towing.
All necessary utility locators have been contacted prior to the start of work. Central Alarm services have also received notification of the scheduled repairs.
Residents in the affected area should expect temporary disruptions to normal traffic patterns. The city recommends using alternative routes during the closure hours.
