Ocean City, Maryland -  Due to unfortunate weather conditions, the planned Ocean City Spring Clean Up day previously set for Saturday, March 23, 2024, has been pushed back to Sunday, March 24, 2024.

The decision to adjust the date was taken to prioritize the safety and comfort of both residents and the staff involved. Ocean City officials express regret for any potential inconvenience caused due to the date change, while also appreciating the community's understanding and adaptability.

The rescheduled Spring Clean-up will continue as initially planned on Sunday, from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Residents willing to participate are requested to place all applicable items at the curbside for collection by city staff, as they will not go onto private properties.

Offering a convenient disposal solution, the Spring Clean-Up program allows residents to rid their homes of large household items such as furniture, appliances, bicycles, carpets, and other items that are too bulky for regular trash disposal. Yard waste and shrubbery are also acceptable; however, the service limits tree limb pick-ups to a maximum diameter of three inches.

It should also be noted that the service does not accommodate full-size tree or large-scale demolition/remodeling project waste removal.

This service is exclusively for residents, with commercial properties not included in the Spring Clean-Up efforts. For additional information, the Town of Ocean City's Solid Waste Division can be reached at 410-524-0318.
