Ocean City, MD-As the frost of winter thaws and gives way to the refreshing buds of spring, it's time to beckon the warmer weather with a tidied home and garden in Ocean City. As per the annual tradition, the town's Spring Clean Up will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, presenting residents with a fantastic and convenient opportunity to get their homes in order.

The Spring Clean Up service, aimed at residential property owners, simplifies disposing of large household items such as furniture, appliances, bicycles, carpets, and more that cannot be handled by a standard trash truck. Yard debris and shrubs are also accepted, with the only restriction being that tree limbs should not exceed a diameter of three inches. However, residents are reminded that the service does not extend to the removal of entire trees or major demolition and remodeling debris.

To take advantage of this free bulk pick-up service, residents are advised to place their items curbside between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the scheduled day - the Ocean City staff, however, will not venture onto private property for removal tasks. This approach is intended to ensure maximum efficiency in the clean-up process and gives residents the satisfaction of a clean and tidy environment, set to welcome the approaching summer season.

Please note that this service is exclusively for the benefit of residents, and commercial properties are not included in the Spring Clean Up effort. For any queries or for additional information, the Town of Ocean City's Solid Waste Division can be reached at 410-524-0318.
