Spring Forward with Kids' Sports Programs at Wicomico Rec & Parks

Wicomico County, MD - Wicomico Recreation & Parks is offering several youth sports programs this spring. The department provides opportunities for children to participate in flag football, soccer, softball, basketball, and golf.

NFL FLAG football will return to Wicomico County this spring. The program is non-contact and allows children of all abilities to develop fundamental football skills in a positive and inclusive environment. The cost is $65 per player. Scholarships are available, and families are encouraged to inquire about financial assistance.

FUNdamental Soccer is a six-week youth training program for divisions U7-U11. Participants will focus on the foundations and fundamentals of soccer through specialized, age-appropriate drills and games. The program costs $50 per player and includes a soccer ball.

Junior Girls Softball is a recreational league for girls ages 4-16. The league welcomes girls of all experience and skill levels. Li'l Miss T-Ball costs $70 per player. Ponytail Coach Pitch and Pre-Minor League cost $75 per player. Minor League and Major League cost $80 per player.

The WYBL Skills Academy will return this spring. Children will learn the basic fundamentals of basketball in a fun, non-competitive environment. Session 1 runs from April 7-23, and Session 2 runs from May 5-21. The cost is $60 per participant.

The Junior Eastern Shore Golf League is a six-week session for children ages 8-18. Young golfers will be introduced to the game at local golf courses in the area. Advanced golfers will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to play at the high school level. The league costs $60 per person, with an additional $5 due at the course.
