Stolen Vehicle Recovered by Cambridge Police Department

Cambridge, MD - Cambridge Police Department officers are investigating a vehicle theft that occurred on January 7, 2026. At approximately 8:47 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Merganser Way.

A victim reported the theft of a white 2021 Kia Soul with Maryland registration 81444HT. Surveillance footage indicated the vehicle was present at 3:53 a.m. It was discovered missing at 4:53 a.m. No suspect information is currently available.

The vehicle was recovered later the same day. At approximately 4:41 p.m., officers responded to the vicinity of Egypt Road and Merlon Way. The stolen vehicle was located abandoned in a nearby wooded area.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. The Cambridge Police Department is seeking assistance from the community.
