Berlin, MD  - The Town of Berlin has announced that Planned Stormwater Improvements to Pine Street are scheduled to begin on Monday, November 6, 2023. During this construction, Pine Street will only be open to local traffic with single lane closures, as needed. 

Parking will not be allowed on the street between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, and overnight parking may be limited as work progresses.

This is the beginning of a larger project that will impact several streets in the area and will result in significant upgrades to the stormwater systems of those streets. 

Following Pine Street, work will continue on a portion of Franklin Avenue and Nelson Street. This project is funded in part by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Funding (BIL) through the Maryland Coastal Bays Program and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021.

Work on these streets is expected to continue until Spring, 2024. Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience to residents.
