Structure Fire Reported at Salisbury Senior Living Apartments
Salisbury, MD - The Salisbury Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a senior living apartment building on the evening of January 24, 2026. The incident occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m. in the 1500 block of Riverside Drive in Salisbury, Wicomico County. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fire originating on the exterior wall of the third floor. Thirty-five firefighters from the Salisbury Fire Department responded to the single-alarm incident. The crew brought the situation under control within 20 minutes. The building is a three-story senior living facility. An occupant discovered the fire. Smoke alarms and fire alarms were present in the structure but did not activate during the incident. Damages to the structure are estimated at $5,000.00, with no loss of contents reported.
