Structure Fire Reported in Federalsburg, Maryland

Federalsburg, MD - On Saturday, July 12, 2025, a structure fire was reported in the 500 block of West Central Avenue in Federalsburg, Caroline County, Maryland. The incident involved a one-story, single-family dwelling.

The fire resulted in an estimated total loss of $95,000, including $70,000 in structural damage and $25,000 in loss of contents. Smoke alarms were present in the home and activated during the incident.

The Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene with 25 assisting firefighters, managing to control the fire within 25 minutes. Only one alarm was raised for the incident.

It was discovered by the occupant of the property and originated in a storage room/office.

The preliminary cause of the fire remains undetermined and is currently under investigation. Authorities are requesting assistance from the public.
