Subject Arrested for Violating Protection Order at Trenton Street Boat Ramp

Cambridge, MD - The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) arrested Monica Leigh Andrews, a 33-year-old resident of Cambridge, Maryland, on August 6, 2025, for violating a court-issued protection order.


At approximately 11:12 p.m., CPD officers and detectives responded to a reported disturbance at the Trenton Street Boat Ramp. Upon arrival, they identified Andrews at the location.


Officers confirmed that a protection order had been served to Andrews on July 22, 2025.


The protected individual, who was present on a workboat at the scene, informed officers that Andrews had contacted them, constituting a violation of the existing order.


Following this information, Andrews was placed under arrest. Andrews was transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing.


She was later released on her personal recognizance. Andrews was formally charged with one count of "Violation of Protection Order."
