SUNDAY AFTERNOON FIRE IN SALISBURY MARYLAND ATTRIBUTED TO IMPROPERLY DISCARDED SMOKING MATERIALS

Salisbury, MD - On June 1, 2025, a residential structure fire was reported in the 7500 block of Titleist Drive in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland. The Hebron Volunteer Fire Department, along with several additional agencies, responded to the incident, deploying 20 firefighters to the scene.

The fire, which occurred in a one-story mobile home, was discovered by the occupant. It originated in the master bedroom, and investigators have preliminarily attributed the cause to improperly discarded smoking materials.

The structure suffered an estimated loss of $4,000, while the contents were valued at a loss of $6,000. Fortunately, the firefighters were able to control the fire within 10 minutes, minimizing further damage.

In the aftermath of the incident, the affected family is receiving support from the American Red Cross. This assistance is vital as they begin the recovery process following this accidental fire.
