Salisbury, MD - On October 29, 2023 at around 1:38 PM, firefighters from the Salisbury Police Department were dispatched to Parkside Apartments, more specifically in the 500 block of Emory Court in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, for a structure fire. 

Upon arrival, firefighters had a light haze of smoke but no other real signs of flames or an active fire.   

Firefighters investigated further and found that a small fire was found in the hallway of an apartment.  

The preliminary cause of the fire was ruled accidental as a result of spontaneous combustion of dried laundry.
