Suspect Arrested and Charged with Unauthorized Removal of Motor Vehicle and Theft

Kent County, MD - An investigation was initiated by the Kent County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division after a report was filed regarding a stolen vehicle and bank card in Galena, Maryland.

A complainant from the 500 block of Mill Lane met with Lt. S. Duhamell to report the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. It was also reported that a stolen bank card was used for unauthorized charges exceeding $100.

Following the investigation by Sgt. Blazejak, a suspect was identified and an arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect. On February 27, 2026, the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Jeffrey Dean Boulden of Galena, Maryland, was located by Kent County Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies.

An arrest warrant from the Kent County District Court was served on Boulden. Boulden was charged with the unauthorized removal of a motor vehicle, along with associated charges.

Following his arrest, Boulden was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
