Suspect Arrested in Vulnerable Adult Abuse Investigation

KENT COUNTY, MD - The Criminal Investigations Division is currently investigating a case of vulnerable adult neglect. The incident reportedly occurred in the 100 block of South Main Street in Galena, Maryland.

On December 19, 2025, Cpl D. Nolan secured an arrest warrant for the suspect in connection with the case. The suspect has been identified as Alan Dale Buckingham, a 58-year-old resident of Galena, Maryland.

Buckingham was taken into custody later that same day. He faces two counts of vulnerable adult abuse. Following his arrest, he appeared before the District Court Commissioner.

He is currently being held without bond at the Kent County Detention Center.
