SWIFT ACTION BY LAW ENFORCEMENT FOLLOWING ONLINE THREAT LANDS PRINCESS ANNE MAN IN JAIL

Somerset County, MD - A 18-year-old student from Princess Anne, Maryland has been arrested following an investigation into an online threat of mass violence at a local school that was posted on social media.
On May 13, 2025, School Resource Officers (SROs) from the Somerset County Sheriff's Office, assigned to Washington High School, became aware of the threat made by a student.
The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Corey Darnell White, from Princess Anne, MD.
Deputies from the Somerset County Sheriff's Office responded to White's residence, where they located and arrested him.
Darnell was taken to the Sheriff's Office and charged with making a threat of mass violence. The deputies acted swiftly throughout the investigation, resulting in Corey White's arrest within one hour of the report.
After being seen by a District Court Commissioner, he was transported to the Somerset County Detention Center, where he was held without bond.
