Talbot County Man Charged in Sexual Abuse Investigation

Talbot County, MD - The Talbot County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division has arrested a Cambridge man on charges related to rape and sexual child abuse. Everardo Rodas Juan Diego, 33, was taken into custody following an investigation into incidents reported in the Trappe, Maryland area.

Detectives initiated the case in November 2025. The investigation determined that a sexual assault involving a juvenile female occurred in April 2025. An arrest warrant was subsequently obtained through the Talbot County District Court.

Juan Diego faces charges of Second Degree Rape, Third Degree Sex Offense, Fourth Degree Sex Offense, and Sexual Solicitation of a Minor. Additional charges include Second Degree Assault, Stalking, and False Imprisonment.

On December 8, 2025, detectives located and arrested Juan Diego in Trappe without incident. He was transported to the Talbot County Central Booking Facility for processing. Following an initial appearance and a bail review before a District Court judge, he was ordered held without bond at the Talbot County Detention Center.
