Talbot County, MD - On April 27, 2025, a routine traffic stop in Talbot County led to significant legal consequences for a passenger in the vehicle, who was found to be in possession of an illegal controlled dangerous substance.

Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office, assisted by a K-9 Unit, stopped a vehicle on Swann Haven Road due to a moving violation.

During this stop, they discovered the passenger in the vehicle, who was identified as Amy Danielle Wooters, a 38-year-old resident of Preston, Maryland, was in possession of an illegal controlled dangerous substance.

Further investigation revealed that Wooters had three active arrest warrants for her failure to appear at a court hearing, as well as a violation of probation.

As a result, she was formally charged with criminal citations related to her possession of controlled dangerous substances and was processed at the Talbot County Central Booking facility for her warrants.

Following her arrest, Wooters appeared before the Honorable Judge Melvin Jews on April 30, 2025. During this court session, Judge Jews decided that Wooters would be held without bond while awaiting further court proceedings.
