Talbot County Sheriff's Office Reports Several Recent Warrant Arrests

Talbot County, MD - The Talbot County Sheriff's Office has released details regarding several arrests made during the second week of January 2026. Deputies apprehended four individuals on various outstanding warrants, ranging from assault charges to probation violations.

On January 11, 2026, deputies arrested Derrick Palmer, 37, of Salisbury, Maryland. The arrest stemmed from a warrant issued by the District Court for Baltimore City on January 4, 2026.

Palmer faces charges of assault and malicious destruction of property. Following his arrest, he was processed at the Talbot County Central Booking facility and ordered held pending further court action.

Two days later, on January 13, 2026, deputies executed three additional arrests. George Edward Evanshaw III, 59, of Wheaton, Maryland, was taken into custody on a warrant issued January 2, 2026. The warrant charged him with failure to appear for a scheduled hearing related to an original charge of driving an unregistered vehicle.

Also arrested on January 13 was Andrew Phillip Diefenderfer, 41, of Cambridge, Maryland. His arrest was based on a warrant issued December 8, 2025, by the Talbot County District Court.

Diefenderfer is charged with violating probation in connection with a prior possession of a controlled substance charge.

Finally, deputies arrested Keith Howard Baynard, 59, of Cordova, Maryland, on the same day. Baynard was wanted on a warrant issued back on October 16, 2014, by the District Court for Talbot County. The charges include failure to comply with child support orders and failure to appear for a hearing.

All individuals arrested on January 13 were transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing and initial appearances before a District Court Commissioner. They remain held pending further action by the courts.
