Talbot County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Talbot County, MD - On March 13, 2026, deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle located on Black Dog Alley near Swann Haven Road.

The stop was initiated in response to a moving violation. During the encounter, deputies established probable cause to search the vehicle. A TCSO K-9 Unit assisted with the investigation.

A passenger in the vehicle was identified as 25-year-old Madelyn Elizabeth Land of Millington, Maryland. During the search, Land was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and related paraphernalia.

Following the discovery, Land was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for standard processing.

Afterward, she had an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. Land was held at the facility pending further action by the court.
