TARGET LOSS PREVENTION CATCHES SHOPLIFTER IN THE ACT

Stevensville, MD - On June 6, 2025, at approximately 6:52 PM, deputies from the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Target store in Stevensville, Maryland following a reported theft.
According to officials, Loss Prevention Officers had detained an individual, who was later identified as Lori Plummer, in connection with the incident. Store personnel informed law enforcement that Plummer had been observed on surveillance footage removing tags from merchandise and placing the items into her purse.
After passing all points of sale and exiting the store, she was stopped by Loss Prevention personnel.
Deputy Mills reviewed the security footage, which confirmed the report. A total of $214 worth of merchandise was recovered from Plummer's purse.
Plummer was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with theft involving property valued between $100 and $1,500. Local law enforcement has not released further details regarding the case at this time.
