Temporary Closure of Glen Avenue for Sewer System Improvements

Salisbury, MD - The City of Salisbury's Department of Waterworks has announced a temporary road closure on Glen Avenue to facilitate improvements to the lift station as part of ongoing sewer collection system upgrades.


The closure will begin on Monday, July 7, and continue through Friday, July 18.


The impacted section of Glen Avenue will extend from Beaver Dam Drive/Parkway Avenue to Hillside Drive/Long Avenue. The road will remain closed to through traffic 24 hours a day during the project. Local traffic will retain access to the area, but all other motorists and pedestrians are advised to seek alternative routes.


Officials have emphasized that the closure is necessary to ensure timely completion of the project and apologize for any inconvenience caused. Motorists and pedestrians traveling near the site are advised to exercise caution.


This initiative is part of the City of Salisbury's broader effort to maintain and improve its sewer infrastructure to better serve the community and address long-term operational needs.
