SNOW HILL, MD - Worcester County Public Works has announced a scheduled water outage for the Briddletown area. This service interruption is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new fire hydrant and isolation valve.

The work is scheduled to take place on Monday, December 29, 2025. Service will be suspended from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the installation will be postponed to December 30.

Approximately 38 homes in the immediate vicinity will be affected by this outage. Specifically, residents on Flower Street, Honeysuckle Lane, Rose Lane, and Peach Lane should expect a loss of water service for six to eight hours.

Crews will work to complete the installation as efficiently as possible within this timeframe.

Following the restoration of service, residents may observe brown or discolored water. This is a common occurrence after maintenance on water lines.

It is recommended that residents run their water for a few minutes until it clears. If the discoloration persists, please contact the Water and Wastewater Division at 410-641-5251 for assistance.
