Three Arrested in Connection with Sussex County Vehicle Thefts and Drug Charges
Sussex County, DE - The Delaware State Police have arrested three individuals following an investigation into a series of vehicle thefts in western Sussex County. Antwoine Savage, 22, of Seaford, and a 16-year-old male from Bridgeville face charges related to vehicle theft.
A third suspect, 20-year-old Lamir Faison of Bridgeville, was arrested on unrelated gun and drug charges during the apprehension of the other suspects.
Troopers and detectives initiated an investigation earlier this month after receiving reports of multiple vehicle thefts in the Blades, Bridgeville, Laurel, and Seaford areas. The suspects targeted residential driveways, stealing or attempting to steal primarily KIA and Hyundai models.
Investigators determined that while some vehicles were left unlocked, others were secured and taken without keys. Several of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered. Through evidence gathered and assistance from the public, detectives identified Savage and the 16-year-old male as the primary suspects and obtained warrants for their arrest.
On January 16, 2026, the Sussex County Governor's Task Force (GTF) proceeded to a residence on the 12000 block of Jones Dogwood Drive in Bridgeville to execute the arrest warrants.
Upon arrival, detectives observed the 16-year-old suspect in the front yard and took him into custody without incident. While searching the property for Savage, detectives located Faison residing in a shed on the premises.
Faison, a probationer, was detained after detectives observed drug paraphernalia in his vicinity. Savage was subsequently contacted at the main residence and taken into custody without incident.
Probation and Parole officers conducted an administrative search of the shed occupied by Faison. The search yielded a multiple caliber rifle, a lower receiver, approximately 4.53 grams of heroin, and various items of drug paraphernalia containing cocaine residue, including digital scales and packaging materials.
The 16-year-old suspect was transported to Troop 4 and charged with four counts of felony theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of attempted theft, conspiracy, and multiple counts of criminal mischief and trespass. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released to a guardian on his own recognizance.
Antwoine Savage was charged with felony theft of a motor vehicle, attempted theft, two counts of conspiracy, and related criminal mischief and trespass charges. He was also arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance.
Lamir Faison faces multiple felony charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and various drug manufacturing and possession charges. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $146,600 cash bond.
