Three Juveniles Charged for False 911 Shooting Report in Trappe
Trappe, MD - Three juveniles have been charged after a 911 call falsely reported a shooting in Trappe, Maryland, prompting a large-scale emergency response.
On Sunday, November 9, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 4300 block of Lover's Lane.
Emergency personnel from multiple agencies, including the Maryland State Police, the Talbot County Department of Emergency Services, and the Trappe Volunteer Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene. The nature of the call required an urgent response, creating a hazardous situation for all responders involved.
After conducting a thorough search of the residence and a complete investigation, deputies determined the report was false.
Through further investigation, authorities identified three juveniles as responsible for making the false 911 call. The juveniles have been charged with filing a false police report, misuse of 911, and reckless endangerment, among other related offenses. In accordance with Maryland law, the names of the juveniles will not be released.
