Tim Kennard River Run Donates $19,500 to Local Community in 2025

Salisbury, MD - The Tim Kennard River Run, held in Salisbury, Maryland, achieved significant success during its 20th annual event weekend in 2025. The event generated $19,500 in donations, benefiting various local organizations and causes.


The race weekend took place on March 2, with Salisbury Bible Fellowship serving as the host venue. An additional event, Rob's Run for Kids, occurred the day prior at the Evolution Craft Brewing Co. Public House. Over 320 participants took part in the race's 10-mile and 5K events.


Harlan Eagle, race director alongside Linda Mills, shared gratitude for the event's success, stating, "We had an awesome 20th anniversary event. We're honored to celebrate Tim's legacy by hosting this race each year and by making these donations to our community."


Distribution of the Donations


The race proceeds were allocated to several community organizations in alignment with the event's mission to aid children and animals. The primary distribution of funds included:


  • $6,500 donated to Coalition of Caring, a fund dedicated to supporting animals in need.
  • $4,000 to TEAM 360, a nonprofit promoting inclusivity by enabling individuals of all abilities to participate in mainstream athletic events.
  • $4,000 to the Eastern Shore Running Club Scholarship Fund, providing scholarships for local high school seniors.
  • $3,500 to Salisbury Bible Fellowship for their ongoing support and as recognition of their generosity in hosting the event since 2022.
  • $500 contributed to Grace Seaford Church, for supporting the Delmarva Gem Stones Prom, a free event for individuals with disabilities.


Additionally, Rob's Run for Kids raised $1,000 for a scholarship fund established in honor of Rob Schultheis through the Salisbury University Foundation. Schultheis was remembered as a local runner and committed community advocate.


Acknowledgment of Sponsors


Race organizers expressed appreciation for the support of numerous sponsors who contributed to the event's success. Elite sponsors included Chesapeake Urology, the Chiamulera Family, The Gaudreau Law Firm, Vernon Powell Shoes, and the Peck Family.
