Traffic Stop and K-9 Scan results in Easton Woman being arrested in Talbot County

Talbot County, MD - On May 29, 2025, a routine traffic stop near Riser Avenue in Talbot County, Maryland resulted in an arrest. Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle, operated by the individual arrested in this incident, identified as Patti Jo West, 49, from Easton, MD, for a moving violation on Black Dog Alley.
With the assistance of the Talbot County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, deputies established probable cause to search the vehicle. The search uncovered a controlled substance along with paraphernalia. As a result, West was arrested on charges related to the possession of these items.
After her arrest, West was taken to the Talbot County Central Booking facility, where she underwent processing and prepared for an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
West was taken before the District Court of Maryland Commissioner, where she was released on her own recognizance.
