Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest Following K-9 Sniff

TALBOT COUNTY, MD - On November 20, 2025, a traffic stop conducted by the Talbot County Sheriff's Office resulted in an arrest.

Deputies initiated the stop on a vehicle on Ocean Gateway near Dover Road for a moving violation. The driver was identified as Kellie Marie Jones, 52, of Federalsburg, MD.

During the stop, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle with the assistance of a Talbot County Sheriff's Office K9 unit. The search led to the recovery of a controlled substance and associated paraphernalia.

Jones was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing.

Following an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Jones was held pending further court action.
