Traffic Stop Leads to DUI and Various Drug Offenses

Milton, DE - On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Andrew Pruitt was arrested following a traffic stop in Milton, Delaware. At approximately 11:32 PM, a Milton Police Officer stopped a Chrysler passenger car driven by Pruitt. During the stop, the officer observed signs of drug impairment, which prompted a DUI investigation.

Pruitt exhibited clear indicators of impairment and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. A computer check revealed that Pruitt's driver's license was suspended. It also showed an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to answer a summons.

A search of the vehicle uncovered multiple bags containing what was identified as heroin and crack cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia. Pruitt was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

He was taken to the Milton Police Department for processing before being committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution.
