Traffic Stop Leads to Firearm and Drug Seizure in Princess Anne

Princess Anne, MD - Officers from the Princess Anne Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Route 13 (Ocean Highway) on February 8, 2026, which resulted in the recovery of a loaded firearm and narcotics. 

During the stop, officers located a Smith & Wesson M&P .38 caliber revolver. The firearm was loaded and equipped with a laser sight.

Further investigation revealed that the driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a previous conviction.

In addition to the weapon, officers recovered approximately 407 grams of suspected marijuana and 17 suspected Percocet tablets. Police also seized a digital scale containing suspected cannabis residue and $1,580 in U.S. currency.

The driver was taken into custody and now faces multiple criminal charges, including firearm possession and drug distribution offenses.
