Millsboro, DE - The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Millsboro, Delaware, on Tuesday night, April 23, 2024. The accident, involving a BMW 328, happened on Friendship Road west of Independence Drive.

The vehicle was headed westbound when, for reasons still under investigation, the 19-year-old driver lost control. The car slipped off the northern edge of the road, careened through wet grass, and struck a tree.

The young driver, a Millsboro resident, was not properly secured in his vehicle at the time of the accident. Despite being rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, he succumbed to them on April 24, 2024. Authorities have yet to release his name, and notification from his family is pending.
