Two Arrested in Millsboro Drug Bust Following Probation Search
Millsboro, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested two Millsboro residents on felony drug charges following a probation compliance search that uncovered methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia.
Amanda Seward, 34, and Brian Truitt, 40, were taken into custody without incident on October 30, 2025, after authorities discovered illegal substances during a routine probation check at Seward's residence.
The Sussex County Governor's Task Force responded to the 28000 block of Godwin Street at approximately 3:45 p.m. after Probation and Parole officers requested assistance. Officers had conducted an administrative search of the residence as part of standard probation monitoring procedures.
During the search, authorities recovered approximately 23.77 grams of methamphetamines along with three pills containing acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate. Officers also found various drug testing equipment including fentanyl test strips, xylazine drug test kits, and a medetomidine test strip.
Additional evidence collected included digital scales, drug paraphernalia, and $621 in suspected drug proceeds. Both suspects were detained at the scene and transported to Troop 4 for processing.
Seward faces multiple charges including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy in the second degree. She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on a $27,800 unsecured bond. However, she was subsequently committed to Sussex Correctional Institution due to probation violations.
Truitt received similar charges and was released on a $28,800 unsecured bond following his arraignment. Both defendants face felony charges for possession with intent to deliver controlled substances and conspiracy, along with additional counts related to drug possession and paraphernalia.
The investigation involved coordination between Delaware State Police, the Sussex County Governor's Task Force, and Delaware Probation and Parole services.
