Two Charged Following Traffic Stop in Kennedyville
Kent County, MD - On January 12, 2026, a traffic stop was initiated on Route 291 in Kennedyville, Maryland. DFC Parent stopped the vehicle after observing a traffic violation. During the stop, indicators of criminal activity were observed by law enforcement personnel.
Cpl Piasecki and his assigned K9, "Dracco," conducted a scan of the vehicle. Following a positive alert from the K9 unit, a probable cause search was performed.
The occupants were identified as 31-year-old Cheyenne Mariah Mavorah and 42-year-old William Bradley Hood, both residents of Millington, Maryland.
Both individuals were arrested and charged with possession of CDS (not cannabis) and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Criminal citations were issued to both parties.
A check of records revealed that Mavorah had an active warrant from Pennsylvania for violation of probation, as well as a bench warrant from the Caroline County District Court for violation of probation. She was subsequently detained at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
