TWO CHILDREN DROWN IN GREENSBORO, MARYLAND; INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY

Caroline County, MD - On the evening of June 29, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a possible drowning in the 12000 block of Greensboro Road in Greensboro, Maryland.
Upon arrival, deputies found two young children, a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy, receiving medical treatment from the Caroline County Department of Emergency Services and the Greensboro Volunteer Fire Department.
The children were transported to Shore Regional Health in Easton, Maryland, for further care. Tragically, despite all the efforts provided, both children passed away due to their injuries.
The Criminal Investigation Division of the Caroline County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the incident. At this time, no further details are available as the investigation remains ongoing.

The investigation is being conducted with the assistance of several agencies, including the Maryland State Police, the Caroline County State's Attorney's Office, the Caroline County Department of Emergency Services, the Greensboro Volunteer Fire Department, and the Caroline County Department of Social Services.
